Repair Service

You will see that, with all the parts Tech Restorer has available on our online store, you can purchase either the item on its own, so that you can fit it yourself, or as part of a repair service in which we fit the part for you.

If you purchase an item with the repair service we will send you a separate email with details on how to get your broken technology to us. Depending on your location you can either post it to us using any postage service of your choice, or if you are local you may prefer to simply drop it off.

Regardless of if you purchase just the part or the part and repair service, this will not affect any warranty included with your purchased part.

Tech Restorer is a project of The Legend of Skippy – a digital software and tech repair service, who have been fixing all manner of technology since the 1990’s. Your product will be treated with care while the repair is being carried out.

Please include your Order Number and Description of the issue you have when you send us your item so that it can be matched to the parts you have purchased and repaired accordingly.

Once your item is received you will be kept up to date with the progress of your repair via email. An assessment of your technology will be carried out to ensure the issues presented are going to be fixed with the parts you have ordered, and if more work is needed this will be communicated to you via email.

Depending on the work that needs to be carried repairs have no timescale, but we try our best to get your items fixed as quickly as possible without impacting on the quality of the repair. You will be kept up to date with how the repair is progressing on a regular basis.

Once your item is fixed we will return it back to you at no extra charge. It is your responsibility to pay for any postage costs if you are sending your item to us.

If your technology has multiple issues, or you are not sure what is wrong with it, please contact Tech Restorer to arrange a free assessment. This will involve sending the item to us, again using the address above, and the item being checked over to try and identify what the issue is and offer a solution to the problem.

HDMI & Charging Port Repairs

If your item, such as a games console, requires a new port that involves soldering, such as a new HDMI port, please note that we send these back to manufacturer and will take longer to repair. Typically these are repaired within 7-10 days, sent back to Tech Restorer to test and confirm the issue is resolved, and then we send it back to the customer. This is because manufacturers only offer warranties on these types of repairs if they carry them out themselves.
